Installing nvidia-current and enabling the drivers via the control center seemed to work great, but I noticed the screen resolution off. I'm used to my native screen resolution being auto-detected with Linux, so I went into XFCE settings manager to see what was going on.The XFCE settings manager had a very limited range of low resolutions available, so I tried the control center which had a listing for my model of monitor. The highest available resolution available was 1400 x 1050, which works good enough, but is still short of my native resolution. This is really the only flaw I've found, but is also something that seems to be unique to Unity Linux.I can provide specific system information if it helps.
I've just installed the nvidia drivers, activated them through the control center, and restarted the xserver. Things are working well now, but this must be a horribly unintuitive process for any new user - they would simply have no clear indication of how to enable the proper drivers. It would be nice to have a desktop shortcut to enable these drivers. I also have to go to the control center to set the correct resolution for my Acer x243w as the XFCE setting manager will not bring it above 1280 x 1024. It's still a bit low at 1400 x 1050, which is very strange as Mandy sets up the correct resolution of 1680 x 1050.

I have to boot VESA in all Unity based distros, SAMity included. This is something I don't come across in Mandriva or PCLinux - very seldom at all actually. I'm running an Nvidia mpc73 based mainboard and an Nvidia 9800GT video card. Other than that I haven't come across any show stopper issues and SAMity looks real good :)
